Frequently Asked Questions:

1

Do you have a studio?

The great outdoors is my studio! I shoot my family photography sessions out on location around Dorset giving your family the freedom to relax, have fun and be yourselves.

2

Where are you based?

I'm a family photographer based in Dorset. I'm happy to travel with a 15 mile radius of BH17 however please do get in touch to discuss if you are out of this area.

3

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our shoot?

This is the one and only downside of outdoor family photography! As we know our British weather can be so unpredictable so I usually keep an eye on the forecast as the session approaches. If the weather is really poor on the day we can reschedule for a more suitable time.

4

I would love to book a session but I would worry my child would misbehave!

Please don't worry, my sessions are relaxed and fun. They can run around, shout, play and be just be themselves without feeling pressured into 'smiling for the lady'.  I usually like to find out all out you and your family before the session so I can get to know a little bit about their likes and dislikes. As a mum of three I know that sometimes children have "off" days and can be unpredictable so we can just go with the flow. I've had my fair share of tantrums/whining/misbehaving from my own children over the years so there is definitely no judgement!

What do we wear for a family photoshoot?

Once you have booked your session I'll send out a welcome pack with some tips for dressing for the session.

6

When is best to book the session?

It's alway best to contact me as soon as you've decided you want to book. I usually like to book the sessions either before 11am or after 3pm. This is to ensure that the locations are less busy and the light is much more flattering at this time.

7

Can we pick our Collection after we have seen the photos (for the Classic Family Session)?

Yes. The session fee needs to be paid a week before the session date to confirm the booking but you can choose your package of prints/digital images after you've viewed your album.

I'm a bit self conscious in front of the camera especially since having my baby!

I get that, us mums are especially critical about our appearances, even more so after having children. However I can guide you to towards flattering poses and light. I'm passionate about getting mums out from behind the camera (as we are always the ones taking the pictures aren't we?!) and joining the family in the pictures.

Got any other questions?

I would love to hear from you with any other questions. You can get in touch through the following:

I know families are desperate to see the images after the session! Your edited album will be available to view up to a week after your session.

How soon can we see the pictures after our session?
