As a Dorset family photographer specialising in portrait photography, being commissioned to capture your family memories in beautiful, natural photographs is a real privilege. I know first hand as a busy mum of three, that your children can grown up so quickly and you want to press pause on time and cherish every moment. I absolutely love the way that relaxed, natural family portraits do just that.
I get that working with children (and animals!) that things don't always go to plan and having formal pictures where your children need to behave perfectly is rather daunting. Plus the last time you personally might have had a photoshoot with a professional photographer might have been your wedding day? My unhurried and patience approach to working with young children and families means we can take time working together to produce authentic, beautiful and timeless moments that you'll love and remember for many years to come.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
My photography studio is the beautiful, light-filled outdoors! Living along the south coast we are spoilt for amazing locations but pick a location that is special to your family; whether you love being in the countryside at Upton Country Park or you adore seeing your children paddle in the see at Studland or Sandbanks. Enjoy taking an hour or so out of your busy lives to spend quality time, having fun with your lovely family and I'll be there to capture all those snuggles, giggles and heartfelt moments that you want to capture in beautiful images.
Pre-photoshoot Consultation
I love to hear all about your family in your pre-shoot consultation. As mum myself I get that working with children that things don't always go to plan and you might be worried that your children may not behave in front of the camera! Please don't worry, that's why my relaxed and patience approach to my family photography work means we can take time working together to create stunning and timeless images that you'll love.
What should we wear?
I want you to all to look your best, but most importantly feel like you and have a fantastic time. Before the photoshoot we'll chat together about putting outfits together to make you feel confident and put together and you'll receive my welcome pack which has got lots of helpful tips and tricks to put family outfits together.
Do We Need to Pose?
I know as a busy parent of three, that there’s little chance of a child standing still, smiling straight at the camera, and disregarding the interesting surroundings around them on your family portrait shoot. It’s what makes the child who they are! There will be no need to 'smile for the lady'. My relaxed and patient approach to my photography will make you feel at ease. I love to capture your beautiful family just as they are, having fun and enjoying each other's company which I can document in candid, timeless, natural family photographs that you will treasure for years to come!

How about pricing and upgrades?
Your family photoshoot includes a pre-photoshoot getting ready guide,
1 hour portrait photography session, your images carefully edited from the session, a private in-person viewing for you to choose your favourite images. Packages start at £375 and include a beautiful 16'' frame of your chosen image. Additional hours, print, and album upgrades are available.
