Choosing what to wear to an equine photoshoot can be daunting, but with some careful planning and consideration, you can create the perfect look that will make your photos come alive and capture your special memories of your children with their equine best friends. As an equine photographer here's my advice for putting together outfits for your relaxed photo shoot.
As the temperate drops think about adding layers of clothing underneath so you can stay warm, particularly with younger children, especially if you've chosen one of our beautiful Dorset beaches for your equine photoshoot. Thermal underwear and socks underneath your outfits can keep you nice and toasty! Think about adding accessorises to your outfits. Hats and scarves are the perfect way to add a pop to colour to your photographs plus keep you warm.
If there is more than one child at a shoot make sure the outfits are co-ordinated (but not matching) You can even choose one item with a pattern or texture to it, as a hero item of clothing. Always take care to keep it simple with the number of colours and patterns so that the viewer's eye is drawn to your faces in your images, rather than your clothes. Stick to rich tones and stay away from print patterns, logos and neons. Have a look at the below images for some inspiration.
